If you've decided that LG ducted air conditioning is right for you, then read on to find out your options.

Our LG Ducted Air Conditioners

Ducted System - Slim Ducted

Rated Capacity: 6.8kW, 9.5kW

LG has two residential options with their Slim Ducted system, a 6.8kW or 9.5kW. The 9.5w has a capacity range of 4.5 ~ 13.0 kW and the 6.8kW has a capacity range of 2.8 ~ 7.8 kW. The size of the area you intend to cool will determine which sized system is best for you. It can be tricky to calculate the required size with ducted systems. Aside from their capabilities, the 6.8kW and 9.5kW models have the same impressive features. Both models are slim with a width of just 270mm, allowing them to fit in even the tightest of spaces.

The Slim Ducted systems have some impressive technology installed. Perhaps their most innovative is their voice control function, which allows users to turn their system on or off and to check or change the temperature by simply using their voice. Like many of the other high end air conditioners, these units can connect to smart apps, too. There is an optional LG Modbus RTU gateway that allows homeowners to automate their air conditioner with their smart home assistant, like Google Assistant.

Another great feature of the LG Slim Ducted series is its E.S.P. (External Static Pressure) Control. This means that the motor can control fan speed and air volume regardless of the external static pressure, allowing the systems to meet optimum levels, and not over cool or under cool.

Ducted System - High Static

Rated Capacity: 8.8kW, 10.5kW, 12.5kW, 15kW, 18kW, 20kW

The High Static Ducted System by LG is a premium air conditioning choice. These models come with capacity choices that span a large range and go all the way up to 20kW. The size of the area you intend to cool will determine which sized system is best for you. It can be tricky to calculate the required size for a ducted air conditioning system. As a guide you can head here [link], or for a more precise heat load calculation, one of our technicians can conduct a home visit for an inspection.

When it comes to the features of the High Static, there's a lot to unpack! These impressive systems allow users to designate up to eight different zones, and there are 18 names to choose from to name each zone. The air conditioning unit can then be operated individually in each zone, and can be managed through a premium touch colour screen LCD controller.

The high static system has a nifty feature called unoccupied mode. This can be switched on when a homeowner leaves, instead of turning the AC off altogether. When this mode is selected, the room temperature will be set to stay between a range of two set temperature points, allowing for a quicker return to a comfortable indoor environment upon return.

Benefits of a LG ducted air conditioning system

User friendly features

LG's ducted air conditioners are celebrated for their user-friendly features - their impressive connectivity allows them to be linked up with other home devices, and to be operated through voice control. If you're someone who places futuristic features as an important part of an air conditioning system, then an LG is a great choice.

This brand allows you to control almost every feature through the smart app - or voice control. The LG Smart ThinQ app is very advanced and has many more features than most air conditioning smart apps.

Furthermore, the premium controller has a wide range of features. It has a colourful display with easy to use features. One of its most well-received features is the energy monitoring section, this clearly shows how much energy is being used by your system.

Quick Cooling

LG ducted air conditioners have a quick cooling feature that controls pressure and allows the system to reach the desired temperature much quicker than the average air conditioner. It also utilises technologies to allow these lower temperatures to be reached without exerting a lot of energy.

Identifies problems with the system

LG systems have the added advantage of being able to identify problems within the system. Should there be an issue with your system, this will be displayed on the LCD screen, and can be accessed through the smart app. The act of alerting home owners about problems with their AC allows them to have the issues diagnosed and fixed at onset before they escalate, saving money and hassle in the long run.
