Components of ducted air conditioning

When a ducted air conditioner is installed in a house, the physical appearance is very discrete. However, there are a lot of moving parts that are placed internally with the house. Ducted air conditioners are a central system that has an indoor evaporator coil that delivers cool air to each zone through the use of ducts.

Indoor unit

You then use the following equation to determine the size of system you will need to cool the entire space down to 24 degrees and 50% humidity (often referred to as comfort conditions):

[(square metres of the room) x 160 (average wattage)] ÷ 1000 (to convert into kW) = the minimum size of unit your space requires.
